Annie McCallum

Finance & Business Manager

Bunurong Country, Bass Coast, VIC

Annie joined BioDiversity Legacy in September 2026, bringing with her 10 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and a Diploma of Sustainable Living.

Growing up in Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Annie spent her childhood at the beach and visiting the wildlife sanctuary at The Briars. These experiences shaped a lasting connection to water, wildlife and the natural world.

After time living in the city, she now calls the Bass Coast home, where she loves surfing and being surrounded by woodlands and wildlife.

Annie’s career in conservation began as a volunteer at The Wilderness Society, where she later worked in finance for six years. She also became a lead community organiser, bringing people together through local events and campaign education. Annie's love of nature has taken her further afield, including volunteering with wildlife in the Amazon.

With experience in financial and grant management, governance, risk and supporting boards and campaign teams, Annie enjoys making complex information clear and useful.

At BioDiversity Legacy, she aims to build practical systems that help the organisation thrive, grow and protect more of the places we love.
