Our impact

Places and Projects

As awareness of BioDiversity Legacy’s land protection pathways grows, so too does the number and diversity of projects we support. Across Australia, landholders, community groups, donors and partners are using these pathways to act on a shared vision: thriving ecosystems protected for future generations.

Explore projects by pathway

This page groups projects and places by the protection pathway that supports them, including Local Landholding Entities, Local Stewardship, donations and land transfers to BioDiversity Legacy. Some projects include more than one property or subproject, showing how local conservation efforts can grow from a single protected place into broader, community-led action. Use the pathway menu below to explore different pathways.

EcoGipps

Through the EcoGipps initiative, the Phillipson family is creating a  conservation legacy stretching from the Gippsland Plains to the Avon Wilderness. The family's 2025 donation of North Paddock to BioDiversity Legacy is the first stage of a planned multi-property transfer, which will see over 360 ha of land protected, with local stewardship and community involvement.
