LOCAL LANDHOLDING ENTITY
EcoGipps
Through the EcoGipps initiative, the Phillipson family is creating a conservation legacy stretching from the Gippsland Plains to the Avon Wilderness. The family's 2025 donation of North Paddock to BioDiversity Legacy is the first stage of a planned multi-property transfer, which will see over 360 ha of land protected, with local stewardship and community involvement.

Nooramunga Land & Sea
Established in 2022 with BioDiversity Legacy’s support, Nooramunga Land & Sea Ltd (NL&S) is a not-for-profit Local Landholding Entity created to protect the unique and ecologically-significant saltmarsh ecosystems of South Gippsland, Victoria.

LOCAL LANDHOLDING ENTITY
Nature Recovery Foundation
The Nature Recovery Foundation is a new regional model for protecting, restoring and reconnecting landscapes across Victoria's Bass Coast. Established by Bass Coast Shire Council in partnership with BioDiversity Legacy, the Foundation creates a practical pathway for landholders, donors, community groups and partners to support long-term nature recovery across public and private land.

Connecting Wildlife
Connecting Wildlife is a locally governed conservation organisation protecting important habitat on the South Coast of NSW. Established through BioDiversity Legacy’s Local Landholding Entity model, Connected Wildlife began with Ned’s Forest near Meringo and is building a broader network of protected landscapes along the South Coast.

The Painkalac Project
The Painkalac Project is a community-led effort to restore floodplain habitat in an iconic valley between Aireys Inlet and Fairhaven in the Victorian Otways. The project reflects decades of local advocacy, determination and hands-on action to protect a much-loved landscape and secure its future for nature and community.
