BioDiversity Legacy’s core team operate in a highly collaborative, flexible and adaptive manner, sharing skills, knowledge and ideas on how to support individuals and communities to leave a living legacy. They are supported by biolink coordinators in regional areas who facilitate conversations and support people already doing great work on the ground. As you can tell from the smiles on their faces, the BDL team love their jobs and relish the opportunity to contribute to the restoration and protection of our landscapes.
Loulou Gebbie
BioDiversity Legacy, Pathways Manager, Gunaikurnai Country, East Gippsland
Loulou Gebbie is a foundation member of the BioDiversity team. Her role involves nurturing networks and building partnerships, bridging grassroots initiatives with larger organisations and engaging interested landholders.
Jyoti Kala
Biodiversity Projects Officer, Gadubanud Country, Pennyroyal
Jyoti brings her expertise in creating inclusive spaces for idea-sharing and collaborative thinking to her role. She sees BioDiversity Legacy as a platform for building relationships and countering isolation with a structured, community-driven approach.
Madeleine Rzesniowiecki
Threatened Species Coordinator, Wurundjeri Country, Yarra River Valley
Maddy’s role is critical in linking up threatened species research, on ground projects and networks. At the forefront of her endeavours is the leadership of the Spot-tailed Quoll Recovery Project.
Stuart Inchley
Biolink Coordinator, Gunaikurnai Country, Gippsland
Stuart is an active land steward who, with partner Victoria, is protecting a 300+ acre piece of remnant rainforest in the hills behind Foster, South Gippsland. With deep insights into the demands and rewards of on-ground conservation, Stuart is in a great position to help landholders and communities become custodians of their natural heritage.
Jen Oceans
Clarence Valley (NSW) Biolink Coordinator, Bundjalung, Gumbaynggirr and Yaegl Country
With a background in business and a natural ability to engage with people at all levels, Jen is the ideal person to support grassroots conservation efforts in the Clarence Valley, one of the most biodiverse regions in Australia. Her strength lies in forging alliances and identifying opportunities to strengthen links between people and nature.
Tim Rowe
Central Gippsland (Vic) Biolink coordinator, Brayakaulung and Gunaikukurnai Country
Tim spent over 30 years in local government working on natural resource management, revegetation and sustainability initiatives. He is now focused on strengthening connections with government bodies and Landcare groups to embed BioDiversity Legacy thinking into their future plans.
Abi Wills
Relationships Manager, Boonwurrung Country, Elwood, VIC
Originally from southwest England, Abi studied Wildlife Conservation at university and went on to complete a Research Master’s in Biodiversity Management.
After moving to Australia, Abi worked for an environmental not-for-profit in East Gippsland. Her BDL role builds on her strengths and commitment to developing meaningful collaboration and partnerships to benefit people and nature.
Dixie Fitzclarence
Contracts Manager and Southern NSW Biolink Coordinator, Yuin- Monaro Country, Bega, NSW
Dixie grew up in a remote corner of the Far South Coast of New South Wales, which forged a deep connection to nature. Dixie worked as a lawyer for 20+ years and now joins Biodiversity Legacy as BioLink Coordinator for Southern NSW and the Contracts Manager – a perfect mix for someone with a legal background wanting to spend a little more time outside.

EcoLands Collective Communications Lead, Gunaikurnai Country, Gippsland
Robyn is a founding member of the BioDiversity Legacy team. She has been instrumental in shaping the organisation’s communications via the EcoLands Collective.
Gabi Strauss
Finance Manager, Boonwurrung Land, Melbourne
Gabi is committed to supporting her colleagues on the ground and finds joy in learning about their efforts to protect and preserve nature. In addition to her work at BioDiversity Legacy, Gabi is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and tax agent with her own accounting practice.

Louise provides invaluable support to the BioDiversity Legacy team, delivering HR support and taking a key role in shaping the organisation’s collective vision of fostering environmental and community stewardship.
